Spotify Wrapped this, Spotify Wrapped that… Yeah that’s fun but have you ever gone through your camera roll to admire all of the absolutely delicious things you made in your kitchen over the year?

That’s what I’m doing today! Grab a snack — I hope this makes you hungry!

Winter

If you give me a Costco rotisserie chicken, I will make a chicken noodle soup. I pretty much measure this by heart at this point, so no exciting recipe here. Not sure if white wine is the right pairing here, but I liked it. Thanks to my dad for filling my glass very full.

Another soup season staple for me is miso soup. I make this pretty much every day in the winter. If you’re interested in the easiest recipe ever for this, I can share how I do it in a more detailed post. Leave a comment below if so!

Spring

This is where my sourdough era started. I’m not apologizing for it!

This was my first ever sourdough loaf. Don’t come at me for it not being perfect it tasted delicious.

A later loaf. Still a dense crumb but getting better! This made some good avo toast and sandwiches, so I actually wasn’t mad.

I adore english muffins and they’re so easy to make from scratch! Even as sourdough.

Summer

Chocolate tahini banana bread! My husband loved this. I can’t remember where I found the recipe but maybe someday I will and I’ll link it here!

Matar paneer! I’m obsessed with paneer. Whenever I have extra milk that’s about to turn or find a gallon nearing its sell by date marked down to like $1, I’ll pick it up and make paneer. It doesn’t require anything more than milk, vinegar, a light towel or cheesecloth and a few minutes. This is the recipe I learned from. When I haven’t had time to make it ahead and freeze it, I grab out some of the Trader Joe’s garlic naan to go with it.

Sourdough pizza crust became a staple in our kitchen this summer. This one had a pesto base from all the basil I grew.

By July, I had really upped my sourdough game!

Another very Italian-inspired dish in July to use up some of the garden tomatoes and basil. I love this time of year, and I just made this pasta with burst cherry tomatoes, red pepper flakes, parmesean and chicken thighs quickly for a Friday dinner.

A moment for the table! I had roses and zinnias blooming so I brought them inside too!

A quick Boston creme pie for my dad’s birthday. It looked ugly but it tasted so good my dad wrote me a thank you note!

August found me baking many bagels! These are everything, sesame, za’atar, and asiago.

Fall

A cutie little early September shakshuka out of some tomatoes and peppers that needed to be used up. I may have made the bread too!

Another round… everything and jalapeno cheddar this time! We were still getting jalapenos from the garden until mid-October, which seemed crazy to me. But we had so many that I had to get creative on ways to use them all up.

Raclette night for my husband’s birthday! If you like cheese, you’d love raclette. It’s also a great group activity — it’s talkative, interactive and a great crowd pleaser. I usually make a sourdough baguette and some roasted potatoes, parcooked broccoli, asparagus and mushrooms. Then, we’ll do some sausages, salami, and other meats. I made this cutie little chocolate birthday cake for him too! Complete with chocolate buttercream. Tasted better than it looked!

Winter, again!

Annual cookie-palooza with my mom. We hang out and bake all day!

That’s what I’ve got for 2025! Hoping to post more recipes in the new year and keep cooking. I cook to feed myself, but I also cook to express myself, so I hope to do more of that for the people I love in 2026.
